Summer-to-Winter-pg7 [DRAFT]

I put aside two penciled pages to focus on this particular scene. I feel good about it because it took me some days to go through the original version and old notes scattered in a notebook just so it didn't look so jumbled.
This is the scene when Yana becomes infatuated by Mr. Dunlop. I tried to accomplish several things: the central character, which is the school building where most of the action and memories take place, the introduction of Yana's two besties, Amber and Tyler, time passing with two of the campus' trees, "love at first sight" without being cliched, and the top panel which is actually the shape of the school's top-floor classroom windows. My mother especially enjoyed that. Yes, it's very wordy, but I am enamored by the visual and verbal. Everyone has their obsessions.
